Mocktail Champagne: a non-alcoholic holiday punch

Mocktail Champagne

New Year’s Eve is only a few days away and I am busy preparing for a party.  Normally, we keep things pretty low key for New Year.  Usually, you’ll find me in bed by 11 pm at the latest, even before kids.  But not this year.

Mocktail Champagne New Years Eve PunchWe are hosting a party for our family and friends.  We’ll eat, drink, take pictures in the photobooth and then ring in the New Year… all before 9 pm.  We can still put the little ones to bed at a reasonable hour and enjoy the festivities of the holiday.  But this isn’t just a party to ring in 2017.  It’s also a gender reveal party where we will find out the sex of baby #2.

But New Years isn’t really New Years without champagne.  What’s a pregnant mama to do?

I spent some time looking for a non-alcoholic option but didn’t find many that looked like the real deal.  Eventually, I just had to come up with something on my own.  A few minutes wandering the juice aisle of my local grocery store and I had an “ah-ha” moment.

I’ve whipped up a delicious and non-alcoholic option that looks like champagne!  This mocktail only has 2 ingredients (plus garnish if you so desire) and has both the sweetness and fizz of the real deal.  It’s great for kids, pregnant and breastfeeding mamas (hello!) and designated drivers.   Everyone still gets to toast with some bubbly but it’s booze-free.

Mocktail Champagne New Years Eve PunchIngredients:

  • Ginger Ale
  • Ocean Spray White Cranberry Cocktail
  • *fresh raspberries to garnish.

  1. Mix equal parts ginger ale and cranberry cocktail.
  2. Add a few raspberries to garnish each glass if you so desire.
  3. Clink, cheers and enjoy!

You can make this by the glass or serve it in a punch bowl or drink dispenser.  Any presentation will look great and your guests will love it!

P.S. it’s always smart to have a few options for designated drivers so everyone can have a fun and safe holiday! Don’t Drink and Drive!
